Tundra Rangers

Vhuna Jigglefront strode along the tundra hills, her giant companion easily matching her stride as he clumped along beside her.  Turk had only been a gangly little Gigantopithecus when she had found him but now he was a fine brute, capable of tearing up trees and pulling the tail off a manticore if he got angry enough.  But most of the time around his ranger friend he still acted like a lazy bum, wanting to sit about and eat and nap all day long.  Vhuna was on the move this day using her halbred as a walking stick.  If they made good time they could reach the small Mammorian village before nightfall.  Vhuna would tell them all she had discovered in her walkabout and enjoy a little civilized company tonight and get some of her gear fixed and inspected.  She looked forward to seeing her brother and his wife again, bringing them a rare crystal geode as a late wedding present.

Sometimes she did wonder why she never stayed longer with the community, but as a ranger she simply couldn't ignore the urge to go climb the hills, poke about the caves and enjoy the fierce but beautiful tundra she had been raised in.  Not quite as dedicated as a druid but not as isolated either.  She ran a hand reflectively over one of her firm breasts, wondering if they would get as big as the settlements current milkmaid.  Being that big might curb her wandering. 

A plume of smoke could be seen over the grassy hill and Turk grunted and started increasing his pace, digging his kuckles into the earth and moving past Vhuna.  Vhuna chided her prehistoric friend.   "Oh so you mosey along until you realize we're heading towards the settlement with all the food?  Is that it?"  She smiled, knowing he'd perform feats of strength if they fed him fruits and honey cake.  Vhuna shook her head and started to jog after him her plump blue breasts bouncing joyfully as the walls of the settlement came into view.  The banners and pennants streamed in the winds of the tundra and she felt a pang of homesickness she didn't realize she had.
